I am often asked why are there dogs on my logo. I have even been asked if I make fancy dog houses. Those are silhouettes of my Black Lab, Murphy, and his Girlfriend, Dilly, a hound mix. The likeness of the dogs is just simply a nod to companionship and comfort that dogs offer home owners.
Our homes are a place where we find comfort and safety. We celebrate lifes’ happier moments at home while also mourning the bad. We grow our families, entertain our friends, pursue hobbies, eat, sleep and fulfill our souls at home.
But often times it’s the clicking of toe nails across the hard wood floors, the barking upon the knock of the door, or the lapping sound of water from the toilet that makes a house truly a home.
I have been very fortunate to have owned several dogs from mutts, Dalmatians, hounds and labradors. In the oft times that a dog isn’t in the house, it is eerily quiet.
At Rouse Houses, we are honored to provide a proceed of each real estate transaction to a local humane society or animal shelter. Traditionally, this will be to the shelter in the county of the transaction.
Opening up your life to a dog that needs a home is one of the most fulfilling things you can do.
